"——What's your name, man?"

In the 2023 SCAD Pro Challenge, our team of four collaborated on an animation project, completing a 30-second animation using Procreate within a 48-hour timeframe. My role in the team encompassed Concept Design, Storyboarding, and Clean-Up. This project was an exciting exploration of diverse shot compositions and transition designs. Each team member brought unique skills, allowing us to experiment with various artistic approaches and animation techniques. Our collective effort resulted in a dynamic, cohesive animation that showcased our ability to work under pressure and our adaptability in embracing different creative ideas. This experience not only honed our technical skills in Procreate but also strengthened our capabilities in collaborative storytelling and visual experimentation.

This is the illustration project I designed for the SCAD WeChat public account's online celebration event for the Year of the Rabbit during the Spring Festival. The project consists of a total of 5 illustrations, including an opening cover, a red packet design, and three avatar frame designs. Along with two other classmates from the advertising department of our university, we formed a creative team for this design, aiming to celebrate this traditional festival with Chinese WeChat users using our respective skills. We set the creative theme as 'Reunion and Celebration.' We echoed this theme by designing social media frames and a special SCAD edition red packet cover, paying tribute to Chinese traditional culture with intricate and lively rabbit illustrations to kick off the new year. In my creation, I used geometric language combined with delicate lines and incorporated Chinese traditional elements to present clear and colorful animations in the interactive interface. I hope everyone can see the modern face of our traditional festivals and that overseas students can feel a sense of belonging and warmth towards our culture.

This After Effects project elegantly showcases classical Celtic patterns, synchronized with the Celtic music from the musical 'The Legend of King Arthur'. The project emphasizes precision in shape language and meticulous attention to detail, aiming to recreate a classic, timeless aesthetic. The fusion of background elements, the Celtic soundtrack, visual language, and special effects come together to form a unique visual world. It's an artistic endeavor that pays homage to the rich heritage of Celtic art and music. The project intricately weaves the traditional Celtic motifs with modern animation techniques, resulting in a captivating visual experience that transcends time. The harmonious blend of music and visuals not only reflects a deep appreciation for Celtic culture but also demonstrates my skills in creating a cohesive and immersive atmosphere. This work stands as a testament to the power of combining historical art forms with contemporary digital media.

This After Effects project is an artistic exploration that combines the vibrant rhythms of Jazz with dynamic graphical transformations. It investigates the intricacies of rhythm and speed, as well as the interplay of colors and composition. The core of this project lies in its ability to synchronize the fluidity and emotional intensity of Jazz with visual elements, creating a seamless and engaging narrative. This exploration is not just a technical endeavor in syncing visuals with music but also an artistic expression, showcasing how auditory and visual elements can intertwine to produce an immersive experience. The project highlights my skills in motion graphics, understanding of rhythm and color theory, and my ability to create a harmonious balance in composition. It's a testament to my ability to fuse different artistic mediums, capturing the spontaneity and depth of Jazz in a visually compelling format.
